I installed the fixed one and having just one instance it slows down my cakewalk, it can be noticed a lot in the plugin/instruments browser, it starts having a delay, problem of the plugin or the cakewalk?

Or your graphic card? Or the cards driver? Specifically, is cakewalk still sluggish if the plugin is active but the GUI isn't displayed?

You could perhaps check on the softube website for C++ dependancies, then check that you have precisely the same ones installed on your PC's operating system.

    My 2 cents.

I am having no issues at all with Tape on three different machines all running Windows 10 and Cakewalk. One of them is 8 years old. Which version of Windows are you using and are all your drivers up to date. Which interface are you using? What are your ini.configuration settings in Cakewalk?

it's sluggish with the plugin active, no matter if the gui is closed

where are that dependancies? there's nothing about that in the website

i'm on win 10 x64, up to date, my amd radeon sofware is also the lastest driver, i'm with a scarlett 2i4 2gen

    where is that ini?

Dammit I followed the directions and now my main HDD was demagnetized LOLZ

On a side note all the tape plugins ( Waves Kramer) need some beefy graphics card ( seems like they prefer Nvidia chipsets)

You're quite right, though i did see this:

... which DOESN'T mention cakewalk - which in light of your comments is perhaps unsurprising. However, if @cliquid is able to run it without hitch on win10, you should be able to too... Which AMD card are you using?

Well, it became Cakewalk, which is different to being the same thing.
    As SoS say:
"Although Cakewalk retains all of Sonar’s functionality, it lacks most of the third-party plug-ins that used to come bundled with Sonar — with a few exceptions. Still included are the TTS-1 synth and Studio Instruments Suite, TH3 Cakewalk Edition amp sim, the Sonitus effects suite, and the Boost 11 limiter. Cakewalk also includes the ProChannel modules that came as part of Sonar Platinum, including Breverb Sonar and Rematrix Solo, but excluding the two Boz Digital modules.

Note that if you already have Sonar, all of the add-ons will appear in Cakewalk by Bandlab — provided you keep your Sonar installation intact! You can safely install Cakewalk and Sonar alongside each other, so there’s no reason to uninstall Sonar."

So, if one already had Sonar, then your comment is applicable.

The base coding for Sonar and Cakewalk by Bandlab are identical apart from the additional updates Bandlab have made since taking over. As has been said before, the differences are in the included plugins. I still have Sonar Platinum installed on one of my rigs and Tape runs ok on there as well as Cakewalk by Bandlab.
For the Aud.ini configuration file go to preferences (press P). It is under the first section Audio.

Correct. Working fine here. Windows 7 Lite. Windows 10 Lite. Both with Sonar. I mean, with Cakewalk.
