Update: 15.06.24 - still working

I have installed Softube's Flow plugin subscription just for testing and stopped the trial. However, the plugins somehow continue working two days after the trial ended - confirmed in iLok License Manager. They should have stopped working on 11.06.24, but they're still working today on 13.06.24.

I'm not sure what this is. For reference, I have 18 other legit Softube plugins, but those which are part of Flow and which I don't own (like the Chandler bundle) continue working.

I'm using Logic Pro 11.0.1 on MacOS Sonoma 14.5.

If ST read this post, they won't work for much longer, maybe you should delete it, if they keep working good, no need to ask questions publicly.

A company with it's own software manager app, iLok, a subscription in 2024; is not going to leave something like this in their software. It will stop working the day after you think it really might not.

 

I have just recorded a video and will share it here. Maybe I missed something and actually it's supposed to work like that, but iLok genuinely says it expires on 11.06 and they're still working.

 

they probably only authorize on plugin load so they'll keep working until you close your daw

 

I have closed the DAW, restarted my Mac and they're still working.

seems to be an actual loophole in the coding if i'm honest. maybe wait a few days and update us (or look if you have any ST related links blocked in the host file)

 

I have this happen with every iLok plugin I demo. They do not nag, warn, or anything like that. They just deauthorize.
They probably deauthorize in some bulk way, so there is probably some amount of buffer long enough that no-one gets a 29-day demo.
