Hi guys, why does the equalizer create that peak? Excuse my English :(...

Because in the mid range makes no sense to have anything but bell EQ shapes. And in the highs (and lows) it makes sense to be able to chose between bell _/\_ or shelving __-- --__ curve.

In second picture if you flip the switch to bell _/\_ and select a frequency similar with what you have in picture 3, you should get the same peak.

Boost is only 3.3khz and 5.6khz! Because that peak at 10hz?

Are the spectrum images that you posted the photo of the maximum peak? When you adjust the controls the FFT always detects some movements at very low frequencies. In a static situation a peak at 10 hz should not be present unless one of the plugs has some artifacts.
    With logic x eq I don't see any peak at 10 ... 20 hz

Edit: regarding your last comment.. maybe the softube eq is the fault

If the peak is always present you had better cut at 20 hz !

The Softube eq is an emulation of a hardware box. It would be correct to assume that the analog box in question is behaving similar.

Can you flip that Fiter knob to 27 or 47 Hz?

+1 Tube emulations are almost always like that.

Could it be an emulation of a passive eq? How they work is that when you boost a frequency, they turn down all frequencies other than the one selected, then amplify the whole signal. Maybe part of the limitations of the hardware was just this.

    The peak remains: (Third pic)

The peak disappears by adjusting the output level

Softube rarerly screws so maybe it's something in the emulation that generates this behavior. It's good that you discover that, you can hipass with FF after and you;re all set.

That happens cause we want "as close as possible to the hardware".
Probably the Hardware Unit shows this behaviour. I dont think the engeniers at softube did not use spectrumanalizers and missed that bahaviour as they developed the product.

They probably thought themselve strange should we correct it in the software? And then they said no no we want as close as possible to the hardware ....
