    Exactly. As the thread is about... dongles.

    R2R may indeed have made many plugins better, but this has nothing to with the discussion. So previous comments are irrelevant.

    I'm happy with both dongles, zero problems, cost me nothing. Excellent plugins. Others may hate them... nobody is forcing you to use them.

    I am the only one here who thinks that Slate plugins are so overrated?

    Whilst the man himself grinds on me, his marketing is like cheap car sales advertisements and they're not too hot on updates... they do make good plugins.

    They are good, don't get me wrong. But its nothing that you cannot live without it.

    I've yet to find a plugin or library I couldn't live without.
    I don't take much notice of reviews, they all have some form of bias even if they don't think it themselves. Especially when they have NFR copy as many do.

    No, I use the Hollywood Orchestra. It's new recordings in East West studio I believe. The former SO was recorded in a concert hall, so better for purists?
    EWHO has that... well Hollywood vibe.

    2 different products. Recorded by 2 different engineers.
