Yesterday I reinstalled my WIN11 machine and that was nice and successful.

I did install a program which Windows actually gave me a red alert Malicious Software Warning for the keygen. It was not music related, but rather Windows 11 systems management related.

I am UNSURE, because I did no before and after testing, but when I click in the sister site search window (so as to begin typing in it) I get redirected immediately to a website offering AdBlocker or something similar (I'm going off short term memory which is degrading slightly every year ... this is a GOOD thing btw ... not to be feared). Note - this isn't an all or nothing deal. It seems to happen when I come back to our beloved sister site after a period of time doing something else.

My question is have I done something to myself installing thet red warn thing, and caused the redirects, or is it something to be expected, and just carry on as if not happening. In other words, is this happening to everyone.

P.S. Conjectural responses are fun and enjoyable / entertaining, but I was looking for someone who might actually know the answer first hand. Bless.

 

I have the same problem, not with PC (Win 10) but with both my tablets, one Android and the other IOS.

I’ve been experiencing something similar for the past week or so. But for me it isn’t only happening on the search window. No matter where I click I’m getting redirected to random sites. But this only happens if I’m not logged in to my account. Try doing the same while logged in and see if it still happens to you

 

Log in to the site and try again.

If I dont log in I get the same.

 

INDEED - I've confirmed on my system it is a 'not signed in' phenomenon ONLY. Helpful ... thx!

 

I tested this on a browser where I am not logged in, and I see requests to pubtrky.com each time a new tab opens (almost every other I click a link)

 

It is most likely a script running that intercepts clicks, as far as I know it is intentional and has always been there. One thing you can do that is not logging in is using something like NoScript on Firefox desktop or mobile and just stop the script from loading. Takes some knowledge to use this tool effectively, though, because it breaks every site.
