    Hello !
First of all, im new here, would love to thank all the people who make our music life easier and gave us opportunities to have all this amazing plugins and stuff

Problem: I try to make Sidechain in Ableton 10 live in Xfer LFO tool, good quality kick, just pure sine wave as a sub and LFO tool on it with Sidechain curve painted from 0 at the starting point.
I hear different clicks and noises when plugin is on, I think it messes up my mix with kick, because when I turn the plugin off I hear beautiful pure sine wave with no clicks n noises etc on it... but when I play together with kick I can hear that this does something to the overall mix, because I tried to put it on the piano loop, hi hats loop etc and effect is the same....
I tried to do retriggering from ableton's own compressor as a Sidechain but the effect was worse so then I tried LFO Tool...
I tried cut a little bit from the end of the curve in LFO so it helps a bit, but its still not perfect...
I just want to make pure, clean, perfect Sidechain
Can anyone help what could be the problem?

You need to move or change the shape you have created with LFO Tool.
Well use a compressor that's triggered by a kick then!
    LFO Tool emulates sidechained compression.

Thx for answer but I as I mentioned I already did it, I moved the shape, repaint it, used presets etc, doesn't help.

P2.I mentioned also that I used Ableton's compressor with triggered kick to do the ducking Sidechain, but it doesn't make it perfect also
I mean maybe my problem is about the "phase" mistakes somewhere? But where ?

    That's for you to do.
I already mentioned that LFO Tool is not sidechained compression.

Nudge the very end of the lfotool(right side) to the left a bit so that the waveform doesn't immediately cut off, which can cause clicks and pops if its not on a zero crossing. If you're triggering the lfo with a SC key, have it immediately drop from 100 to 0 at the very start of the lfo instead of the very end.
If you have already tried this and it doesn't work, then send a screenshot so we know what we're dealing with. Finally, there's a parameter on the bottom right for clicks. Mess around with that.
Edit: With the compressor, make sure to play around with the attack. With too fast an attack and a low threshold, it WILL click.

Yes, I know, you're right, its producer's mission but I just switched from PC from FL Studio to Mac and Ableton, In FL Studio there is plugin called Grossbeat and there I could also paint my volume shape and there were no clicks and artifacts on the pure sine sub. Unfortunately that plugin is only PC based.

Thank you for the answer! Yes, I did it before asking here but doesn't help (screenshot is down here)
it looks like maybe the plugin does it itself because when switched off its ok, or maybe another hidden option in ableton or something... totally don't know

    Try shaperbox bruv.
You can get the clicks your getting sometimes though but if you move it out like how your doing in lfo tool should be good.
Plus I don't remember if lfo tool can midi trigger like shaperbox which is useful when you add an extra kick on the up beat that aren't on the 1/4 four four.
Here's a good tutorial on it.

Good call. But again, still emulating sidechained compression.

Yes, it emulates sc compression, manual volume curves for specific areas on tracks, maybe step/tempo-based etc, but not triggered by kick or another sound, full customization, so you adjust curve to make a sc groove by yourself. So, kind of volume patterns

Does it matter? He just wants to sidechain like he done with grossbeat without the clicks he's getting with LFO tool.
And you can get a cleaner sidechain this way instead of using a compressor by inverting the same shape on the kick(right click flip vertical) so they completely aren't playing when the other is. Which is what I think he is after if he was using grossbeat.

    mild pump milk.
You can trigger shaperbox with midi so it reacts like a normal side chain.
Also has multiband with low, mid, high separate side chains so the bass ducks more then the mids & highs.
I haven't used LFO tool again.

I see SMOOTH at 0. You should move it around 10-20 to avoid clicks

You probably forgot to add a low pass filter after the sidechain. Because it's a sub, just go as low as you need.

Thank you guys for help. Shaperbox does the job very well, cool plugin! I mixed all your informations and on my sub osc on the amp envelope I just put attack not at 0 but at 0,05 ms and I think now its the cleanest as I could make.
Nice forum, will definitely be here more often!
Now Im testing Beyerdynamic DT770 pro vs Sony MDR 7506, hard decision which one to choose...

Merry Christmas to all of you! <3

Yea I like Shaperbox you can do some cool things with the other things like multiband panning as well. Also putting long volume shapes over synths can add interest.
I put Shaperbox on the kick first so you can see the waveform of the kick drum and then draw your envelope so it's open just for the kick length or sometimes even use it to shorten the kick then copy that to the sub and invert it. Then you know they won't be clashing and can add more thump to your kicks.
Similar to a compressor or adsr you get clicking if silence to volume is too fast so you sometimes have to have play with the fade points.
Not sure on headphones I have Senheiser HD600's and Audio Technica ATH-M50x but haven't even really used them yet. I'm just going to use them for final mix checks.
I'm prob going to get Focal Clear Professional one day.

In case you're giving LFO Tool a second chance, you have to hit Note Retrig twice, so it shows ENV, see:
