I've been checkin many of the compressor and a=other plug that say they support sc on fl.. but i just found softube tube tech the only one or is it that i'm doin it the wrong way? Coz I usually check the processin tab at the settings part to check for side chain support! But just found 1... I need to know how u guys do on fl cubase or even sonar and reaper... Thnx

 

why not use fruity limiter? its a compressor too, or try "the glue" from cytomic it support sc and works like a charm on fl ;)

 

reacomp does side-chain compression rather well, and is very easy to set up.. There are many tutorials on youtube on how to do it.

 

or use fruity peak controller then sidechain in the mixer. Its how most dirty electro artist side chain their bass.... Try it

Best Daw for that is Sonar X1 on the track effect plugs use insert side chain then add youre compressor, Real easy and sounds good !!! Ableton looks like a old Atari Game i wouldnt use for
Serious recordings and doesnt support alot of plugs its like using reaper or N-studio Low end Daw for support.and new plugs Garbage
The Folks bragging about those Daws use old Slow ass Computers and cannot play thtas why they like all the electronic intruments in them Plastic Sounding

 

Softube tube tech is very good comp for SC.

I use this a lot in Cubase you have to crate a quadro group bus. On the inserts of that channel put in the comp. And then look for the bus in the devices menu vst connections and crate two sub buses one stereo and one stereo L/R.
The stereo L/R is the trigger so that goes in the send of channel what you what to use a trigger i.e kick or the snare.
Then the stereo goes to the output of what you want to compress i.e Pads,keys and bass etc.

If VST2 Sidechain works how Lukie said in Cubase, if use VST3, its more easy to work, only has to activate the SC button and automatically create an output to send the channel in.

 

yea confirmed.....

They can say sc on fl is so not sexy but i still like playin with mixes on fl... coz it's just too straight 4ward IMO... 4 flexibility ish you could f with reaper that stuff a small but mighty devil... Not yet seen the end of the 6.7mb worth of power... Damn

 

I can set-up sidechaining a few different ways but the "Sidechain" channel on the FL mixer still perplexes me
