The way that Avid has implemented their options menu is really weird, and it took me way to long to figure it out.

i did exactly what is showed in the video,the problem is that when i browse the folders to add the vst one from the add options in thesoundst tab,the dll's are invisibleso they don t appear in the list,i didn t have this problem with sibelius 6,fortunately i didn t unistall it before installing version 7

 

Is Sibelius of any assistance to someone who doesn't read music?

 

Probably not much more than Microsoft Word would be to someone who cannot read or write. That being said, taking the time to work with it might be a great way to learn and grow. You never know what you might find when you dig into something new. Everyone can learn to read music. It's just a skill, like typing.
