Should multitrack be moved out of samples and into its own section. Past few days ive been on here its just being bombardes with multitrack. 90%of them awfull quality. Does anyone else think they should be in different section so as wen we click samples we dont have to wade through page after page of these just to find a decent pack from say loopmasters or sounds to sample?

    yes own category plz
But all this multitrack uploads that is coming right now is just beacuse those moneyhunting uploaders dont have anything else to give us at the moment

    So they upload multitrack instead

They would upload porn well everything they get their hands on if it was ok in this forum.

I.e one day when i visit this site i saw all those FL synths was uploaded by someone
("i think it was strong sound or whatever he call him self")

Those synths was already in here but as a pack not as single releases

Some hours later they where removed

It's nothing to do with karaoke genius . . . why do I have to keep explaining this to people on this site? A 'serious musician' would be able to see the educational value of the multitracks . . if you don't understand check some of the several threads already started on this exact topic . . .

And yes, I think a separate category would be good! Then I can find the multitracks quicker :)

i dont mean it is exactly like karaoke!!!! Sort of like in the same category for people who are into karaoke and actually you can use it for karaoke!! All you doin with these shit multitrack is experimenting with other people's songs??? Educational?? I might as well experimenting with my own song!!! But actually, you dont get to experiment a lot with all them tracks cos most of the tracks arent dry signal!!!

If you want to use them for karaoke go ahead, but don't just ignorantly assume that's what other people are doing and then try to criticise them for it :)

Again, no one said 'experimenting', you're assuming again and criticising based on your inaccurate assumptions. No big deal of course, I'm just clearing the confusion from your mind!

The education comes from analysing, not experimenting. That fact that the tracks are not 'dry' as you described is the very thing that makes them good for analysing. Hopefully that clears things up for you :)

I think you wouldnt be running outta options analysing DRY signal with all the endless variety affects you can add to it than the already WET signal!!!

I don't quite get what you're saying here . . sorry . . but just to be clear: if you have the 'dry' recordings there's no mixing to analyse as the tracks literally aren't mixed yet. These multitracks are stems of the final stereo mix complete with the processing and effects used in the final stereo mix, this is what makes them useful for analysing.

It may be desirable for re-mixers to get 'dry' recordings to play with but that's another point completely. Additionally, if you've worked as a re-mixer in the music industry you would know that you don't usually get 'dry' recordings off clients anyway, they'll most likely provide you with stems because it's easier and helps with consistency of production quality. Let's be honest, a lot of electronic musicians couldn't mix a live rock band to save their life and nor should they be able to, it's a totally different ball game. But being a serious musician I'm sure you already know this :)

With this in mind the multitracks being posted are not only useful for analysing mixing techniques but good practice for prospective re-mixers as it's very similar to what they would receive if they were getting re-mixing work in the industry . . I hope I've cleared up some confusion!

We should put these noobs in a separate category. The multitracks are great for anyone who actually does anything with music.

Must admit I'm guilty of a couple of multitrack posts but in my defence, mine are in bundles per post and not the one track per post jobbies that have started flooding the samples section.A new section sounds good

Those multi-track packages might be useful for learning to mix or similar,
but it's indeed like a plague if people keep posting them in a row!

There must be a separate corner for these things on AudioZ!

Unlike the ignorant guy redback was arguing with above, I definitely acknowledge the usefulness of the (good quality) multitrack uploads. The flooding of them hasn't been as bad over the last day, but it definitely was getting a bit annoying there for a bit.

Julz: Thank you! I don't know how fair it would be to tell the uploaders to hide the multitracks away in a section where they wouldn't be seen at all, but it definitely would help with the congestion if these were posted in bundles/compilation packs. Doesn't even have to be all the same artist, just make a quick Rock compilation pack, or Orchestral Rock Hybrids, etc.

If you think about it, all of you uploaders would probably get -more- downloads that way anyway. When there's a spam of something people are unlikely to download everything, but instead pick what they immediately want, then -maybe- come back later. If you do the bundles, you're more likely to get people like me to download, thinking "You never know when you'll need it"... (I have about 4 TB of samples I'll prob never use for that reason, but that's my problem, not yours! )

99% of latest sample libraries are so low quality that i find multitracks much more useful than crap sample libraries... the same applies to most of patch libriaries.

You call yourself a serious songwriter but don't know what to do with multitracks? I smell a contradiction.
