I mean, after looking carefully at the vocal chain of the pros in EDM/pop genre today, I'm really asking myself if with all this processing we are using in series and parallel what's the point of invest money in a condenser mic for recording vocals if I already have some SM58 dynamic mic?

I like to know if there's a real diferrence between my SM58 and a 300$ and more condenser mic. Because with the tons of plugins we put on the chain and the processing I have a doubt!

    Thx

i think EDM is usually closer to hi-fi vocals, so yes, i think there would be noticeable difference

Unless the person sounds horrible on a 58 you can get by with it.
