Some consumer routers allow you to block addresses or ports at the hardware level so what your PC does won't matter. Or you could get a business-class router than can pretty much do anything with network traffic.

Happened to me now and then. Just back up your Saurus licence file (it will be deleted if checked as blacklisted), and you'r good. My firewall does not help btw, I guess they found a way to use other ways to connect.

Not a single Tone2 product is really essential, there's so much better alternatives, why bother?

 

we saw big artists with cracked stuff before ...but they did not went to jail ...i agree, you should buy if you like it and make full commercial tracks with it but, till you are not sure, no, dont buy ...the demos that are limited i do not like, but those who can give you the option to try full for 30 days, i love those ...unless u dont try the full version, you cant really decide if its really worth it ...and yes, some companies think that are so smart asses that can do whatever they want with your personal computer ...if id know how to crack, if only ...i really miss A*R ...

 

Because they never used Tone2 software.

I can't make commercial music because my music is too short. I always want to make a new song with new sounds everytime. I test all vst plugins. I have too many kontakt instruments. A new song means composing with new instruments. Not using the same general midi string ensemble everytime the string section is wanted. I go beyond the bounds and buy EWQL PLAY stuff. Hot on my list is Goliath instead of Colossus.

 

ok, but name or proof me a person that went to jail because of Tone2 ...and i was referring that if u make money with your tracks, commercial, bee it game music or for tv commercials, whatever ...

 

Or try below solution what i recently found and did, if you do this you cannot go to the tone 2 website anymore but they also cannot ping you anymore, i have installed all the
plugins including saurus. Saurus sometimes says it is not a legal version but when i restart it it`s working again. Now i`m buying them all because the tone2 instruments are
the best. I did not buy the whole collection yet but gladiator is a must have!


First of all - disconnect your internet when installing this software... (saurus)

What I did -> I manually added the installer / uninstaller / executable file and my VST host software to Windows Firewall.

You should also add this to your Hosts file...which will disallow the plugin from accessing Tone2!

(use Notepad to add these entries)

C:Windows\system32\drivers\hosts (hosts is a text file with no extension)...

Simply copy this file (Ctrl + drag somewhere onto your desktop).

Then -> add the Tone2 entries above to the host file...

(If you use Spybot S&D you will notice that this is how Spybot blacklists adware + malware sites)

Over-write your hosts file with the new one containing the Tone2 links (from above).

 

Is Tone2 using internet explorer?

Madman bring up two great points. Some people may be editting their hosts file, but I would also disconnect while installing. Also when editting the hosts be sure to flush your directory cache. Experiment on what you need to do before your computer starts to loopback those domains. On my computer, for example, I need to edit the hosts file, flush directory services and restart before a new entry on my hosts file is handled appropriately.

 

I would do the risky test first.
