Hi, i need a new laptop thats strong at multi-browsing without stalling basically. And i need something that will last me 5 years.

i'm seeing laptop options and although ok price is a factor, i am still wondering if i should transition to apple (its now or.....i don't know when basically)

What have you been using? So that someone can recommend something that's also better than your current machine. How much money do you want to invest? That would help narrow down the endless range of laptops. Do you make music with the DAW? I'm asking about CPU performance.

 

The sense of speed in processing is a relative thing. No matter how much money you spend and buy a more powerful system, after a while you will feel that it does not have the speed you need and you will think of another more powerful hardware.

 

now i have an ASUS Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU @ 1.80GHz i had it for a long time and its stalling

not for music...but since i need it to be powerful at multi browsing and not stalling it should be able to do music too.

pricewise...i want to know how much i need to pay for something that can last at least 4 years without stalling issues

 

what is the solution to this? :/ i think thats what happened with this one i have....it started stalling etc

Better resource management and finding the soft and versions that match your current system.
Whatever hardware you buy, you will find that it has weaknesses and may not be suitable for some software.

stay away from the 250-400 $ range. but also u dont need 1500 for a decent laptop. i'd say 600-800 $ and you will be more than happy for 5 years, and the performance will be stellar compared to what you have now. of course it depends how much money u have to burn. if you don't need the portability, consider the new mac mini m4

 

Only you know if you like Windows or want something else.

maybe just get a Mac and return it if you don't like it.
