this has probably been pointed out already but, egg boxes do absolutely nothing for acoustics. don't waste your time

That expensive foam is also a scam, only helps with higher frequencies...don't waster your money. Rockwool style panels are the way to go and are much cheaper if you build them yourself!

    I disagree.
For a band its a cheap solution from those high frequencies bouncing off the walls,i also used them in my drum practice room when i was a student.Without them the room was unusable, after the egg box treatment it sounded good.

Good points about the monitors and the cans. Mixing with cans is almost impossible, of course. I guess in theory I could do it, using frequency, phase and volume meters. Trusting the ears will not do. In practice, though, this is my on the go setup. It allows me to compose (and even record if I bring the old u87) anywhere. The monitors stay at home, where I need them the most.

Simple and sweet. I love my volume knob on the left. That was one of the most handy investments yet![IMG]

Recording.jpg Having a move around at the moment, I found a couple of other keyboard controllers the other day to add to that pile.
M-Audio M-Track plus (like the large volume knob) and AV40 monitors on stands. (So I can still put 'stuff' under them but not on top.)

  16. I would throw up a photo but seem cannot seem to upload a photo from my tablet, only from a URL. Am I brain dead (probably)?

It is cool to see how you guys are setup.
I am unable to upload my pics when I click "Upload a file". I get an error.

Yeah. That was for me too. Try to edit your photos to make them under 1 mb in size.

My pics are 400kb. I have tried to paste them in the reply box and I still get a "... transfert too large... " message.

When I drag a pic, I get the message "uplead not available " ???

    I give up.

Have a nice day Y'all :winker:
