Hi Many apologies if this is the wrong place but i have the rent to own version of serum and i have got hold of some presets which were working at first. But now the output meter freezes on some like its distorting and most dont work. Is it because they are not legit or does anyone know a fix for this? Many thanks in advance.

I use latest logic x 10.4.8 and im on osx 10.14.6.

 

this happens to me sometimes too. It must be a serum bug, I don't think it has anything to do with the patches not being legit

Is it an official legit version? The latest I have from sister site is 1.276, so i can't help, but it may help others help you.

 

Are you sure you're not overloading your machine? Maybe they work when you're just using Serum, but the moment you add a few more virtual instruments, your CPU can't handle everything properly. Try freezing some other virtual instruments' tracks temporarily and check if they work again. - I don't know which DAW you use, but for instance, Reaper has an automatic limiter function which, if your track's output is too loud, it immediately mutes it so as not to blow your monitor speakers out. Maybe something similar is happening with your DAW, whichever it is...
