Currently using Cubase 8.

I'm getting an error 534 when I load it in my DAW after I update it to 1.11b3.

Is there a workaround to this issue?

 

how many serum threads a forum needs ?

the simplest workaround are just buy it and every problem are solved .

I'm on Windows 7 x64 and Ableton live 9.6.2. I have a problem since some daysand I become crazy!!!

I downloaded your Serum Update v1.10b1 but my Serum refuses to update,it stays to the version 1.073 everytime that I open it in my DAW which is Live 9.6.2.

I also tried the r2r release,the 1.11b3 version found somewhere on the web and the result is the same...Always Serum stays to the v1.073 when I click on the " menu " tab and then on " about " !!!

And I can't open my last presets like Cymatics.

However I followed all the steps,drag & drop the patched DLL('s) or not,tick " read only " in the " AppData\Roaming\XFer\Serum\user.dat " file,disconnect internet,but Serum never updates up to v1.073 !!!

And the r2r Update is really the v1.11b3 because it's written on the setup.

Does someone can help me please?? Any solution??? Apart to answer " buy it " ,the easy answer.I haven't the money for that today and tomorrow.

So i dl,ed the latest v111 update posted a day ago i think....
All was fine then all of a sudden the cymatic packs created using that vertion im assuming,all wont play anymore and i keep getting the irritating "this preset was made using a higher os" huh it was fine 10 mins prior....
Just found my update so will try again
Bought an 8 gb ram expander yesterday /installed it/and i been up all night trying to get windows to actually start up luckily got my lap back up n running hours n hours later so this buisiness with serums drivin me Seriously nutzo...........sorry to be a pain but im having one of those days

I never uploaded any newer update than v1.07b4 so you downloaded it from someone else.

You have to make sure, which file gets loaded, when you load serum in your daw.
If it loads serum from your VST dir, then you have to update that file. If you've installed it somewhere else,
you have to set the vst path in your daw back to the standard vst path.

If you open regedit and navigate to the key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\VST",
you should see the value "VSTPluginsPath" and that shows you your standard vst path.
If you are on a 64Bit machine, you also have to look here: "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\VST".

If nothing works, download 7zip or 7zip portable and open the update installer as archive in 7z.
That way you can extract the vst files and copy them manually into the correct dirs.

And if you don't know, where you've installed serum, take a look at the little tool
"Everything Search Engine". It will find all serum files on your whole PC in seconds.

 

Exactly! But I would prefer to buy a full lifetime license (like I did a couple of time ago ...about 2 years or so).
If you have the money, buy it and if not, then save your money and buy it later. You should always support
the developer of the products you want to use and btw., if you really want/need it, then you'll find a way
to get the money.

Until then, try before buy!

 

I have found my problem,it just was a stupid second Serum folder,named differently, which I didn't see and so I didn't delete in my vst folder.I updated Serum but this folder(".dll" files inside) was left,that was because Serum refused tu update.

That is really a Serum v1.10b1 update with a r4e NFO that I have... Then I don't know if it's really yours..
