Anyone getting this error when opening old projects in Live 10 ??

no , but it sounds the issue with Serum , do you have serum in this projects?

 

Sometimes it's a plugin which cause this error.

Yes but how to disable the faulty plugin so I can open the project

maybe Ableton did this on purpose

 

Move the used plugins to different location for awhile, maybe even one by one, so you could see the trouble maker

 

IIRC "sometimes" ableton will identify that a particular plugin caused a problem and skip it (this might just be in scanning) but typically you have to do all the work yourself. Move plugins into another folder one at a time to figure out what caused the problem

 

If you remember the plugins you've used juste remove them from your plugin directory, if not move them all to be able to open the project and take note, after that you'll be able to remove them one by one like Lego & Cav wrote.

 

I had this error regularly in live 9, due to m4l devices I would assume.
In 10, only once up to now.

 

I've had this error before on a mac. I thought it was the plugins because they are a usual culprit but I discovered when I had SIP disabled I was getting this error. Once I booted with SIP enabled no more error message. Not sure if this is the same issue but since it took me a couple of days to figure out I thought I would throw it out there.

 

For my part I've had the problem with Live 10 and polyverse's gatekeeper (I'm on windows 7 64 bits). I removed polyverse from my VST directory, opened the project, of course gatekeeper was not found, then I've closed Live and put gatkeeper in place and when I reopenend the project everything was fine...

 

go to your old live 9 and freeze every track and save project again
open in live 10 and unfreeze one by one to see what is the colprit

You can install both, no problem on windows.

 

no problem on osx either to have both

 

Alright thanks guys I got 9 runing alongside 10 fixed some projects but others still won't run.
I got a lot of plugins installed so I can't remember which ones I used !!
