Just thought this was a cool looking upgrade for an already infamous sampler! I love this thing, although I rarely sample, this may get me into it. Since I always used separate programs to get rid of bass, or vocals, or cut the drums out.

 

NI Traktor did this years ago and it flopped. But the big difference is that (I assume) Serato can make the stems itself? For what it's worth, Virtual DJ can do it, too!

 

Serato Sample 2 is still in Beta and not released to the Public so hard to say how good this feature will work and how CPU heavy it is. But its an nice feature for every Sampling Head. Also this feature is already in Serato Studio for some time.

 

CPU usage is a good point. I no longer DJ, but I like to remix an occasional song. For my usage, I can sit idly by while my CPU is slammed for a good ten minutes to get the vocal. That's how long it takes on my 2018 Intel Macbook to do a 6-min song or so. I wouldn't dare attempt that live.

 

I now what you mean. I miss the good old Days of Studio Acapellas beeing released on Vinyl.
