Maybe useful info too, regarding this forum thread:

In S1 Keyboard Shortcuts Window, you have 2 commands:

- Expand Envelopes
- Show Envelopes

The first command toggles visibility of Automation Envelopes in their own lanes under a selected Track.
The second command toggles visibility of Automation Envelopes in the selected Track itself (so visually placed over Events on the Track.

The easiest and fastest way to show an automation envelope for a touched Plugin Parameter IMHO:
First, in Keyshortcuts Window: check the command "Show current Parameter" and assign it to a selfchoosen shortcut.
Now, click on a Plugin Parameter you wanna automate and then you hit the shortcut for "Show current Parameter".

Outcome: you now see the automation envelope for that Parameter, on the Track where the Plugin is inserted on.

Every time you touch (click on) any automatable control in Studio One, including track controls, effect controls and instrument controls, there should appear in the control display (under the File, Edit, Song main menu, to left of the main tool bar) a status report on the control you last touched. If that control is automatable an A in a box will appear and little white hand next to it.

If you click and drag the little white hand to an unused part of your track list, a new Automation track will be created for that control. If you drag it to an existing instrument ot audio track it will be added to that track.

Hey presto - automation tracks. Click and drag.
