Would probably never spend that much on a pair of headphones but I've listened to them on an Icon Audio tube amp & they sounded incredible, like high end studio monitors.

 

I'll have to have another go at trying to find them in the mornin.after the F1 that is :D Night all!

Buy whatever sounds good to you and can afford. If you use reference tracks while you're mixing/mastering then it doesn't really matter which headphones you use. Just import a track you know sounds good in a car, club, home stereo, and A/B between it and your song and try to get yours to sound as close to it as you can.

 

Is definitelly not a complete list but some of the good ones for mixing at different price points. But remember those are tools and so were choosen as one, which mean many of them don't necessarily have wow factor, but are just great at revealing things:

I rather trust company which measure and calibrate thousands and thousands of headphones, than some random reviews.

Alot of people hate on Chinese "knockoffs", but there's some serious bargains to be had, sometimes this stuff is coming from factories that have access to the genuine blueprints. I've scored some "Unauthorized Authentic" expensive speakers, sneakers, vaping stuff etc from China for next to nothing, and it's impossible to tell the difference between the genuine and the repro.

 

I found it's nearly ALWAYS the people who love to watch OFAH :P

I managed to get a 'Rolex' with sweep movement that was SO perfect it fooled the jewellers I took it to. That cost me a tenner lol

A couple of places I looked this at morning, wont deal with the UK for some reason. Must have something to do with the uncertainty over Brexit!
