Recently moved to Germany. Barely speaking German.
I have Ryzen 3600x to sell. How can I sell it? Any help from people knowing the market would be helpful and appreciated.

    Or just ebay.de
Kleinanzeigen is for the local area marked so you could sell it to people near you.

English is ok for most people in Germany. On Kleinanzeigen a lot of students sell their stuff
and nearly half of them are advertising in english.

You could also take a look for universities in your city. They sometimes offer an online
market place for students where you can buy/sell everything from kitchen utils to renting an
    appartment.

ebay-kleinanzeigen.de is the cheapest way if you not use their payment service

I have no experience with E BAy nor shiping to someone. There are a couple of problems I'm facing right now.
    1. Payment system. In my home country I was priviledged to live in a capital city therefore I could afford myself to sell stuff in person. I give you this. you give me that. Straightforward.
    2. Ebay gives me troubles with PayPal because for some reason I couldn't link my Postbank debit account to it.
    3. Shipping service. Computer parts are small sized. Which services and package would you use when selling tiny things like CPU's, RAM sticks etc.? I see Hermes allover the place.

It's always best to send it well packed with DHL as a parcel - a parcel is insured up to 500 EUR.
You can transfer from ebay - if a payment has arrived, the money then from ebay to your own account.

I've had no fun with "ebay Kleinanzeigen". The original ebay.de is much better for the serious seller IMHO.
What I learned about ebay Kleinanzeigen the recent years:
    1. A lot of the classifieds are outdated
    2. Most often the introduction of buyers "was ist letzter Preis?" or "whats your lowest price?"
    3. When buyers arrive in many cases try to renegotiate again.
Mind you: I had always marked the price as a fixed price.
    4. I don't like buyers to come to my place. When I'm at home I'm tired and don't like price discussions.
    5. Some buyers claim that a guarantee or right of return was agreed when they were at my home.
A lie, of course, but suddenly there are witnesses who are supposed to have been on the spot

That's why I hate ebay Kleinanzeigen. It's almost as if the entry requirement were an IQ below 100 and illiteracy
Maybe ebay should call the service ebay4idiots. Never again.

    In contrast ebay just works.
When I sell as a private person all sales are final. The buyer pays and I deliver the goods per DHL. No hassle.

Just take a big one an a lot of newspaper as padding. No one has complained about this yet.
Very large parts are more of a problem. You can buy boxes of any size in stationery stores btw.

A food can with toilet paper and lid. Shoe polish can..etc...! Plenty of crumpled up newspaper.
Preferably a cardboard box within a cardboard box. Please pack as you would like to receive.

    2. You can use SEPA money tranfer to and from your bank account. It's almost as easy as pyapal with banking app but it typically takes 2 days.
    3. I Always use DHL. It is reliable and the packages are insured, for example, against loss. In most cases they deliver in 2 days even in most rural areas.
HERMES is more of a disease than a shipper, that's why we call them HERPES around here.

Isn't it bizzare that Amazon choose Hermes for return policy?!

Amazon's returns are all about prices. Amazon does not (frequently) use Hermes for shipping, because quality counts more.

Yes, I had understood that

Sorry man, maybe I have expressed it stupidly, I am not a native English speaker. :mates:

Yes, Amazon likes to do returns with Hermes because it's cheap and Amazon doesn't care at all (in that case as a recipient) of good service.
But when they ship, customer satisfaction is important to Amazo and therefore they do not ship with Hermes.

Hermes is extremely poorly regarded as an employer and also pays people poorly. The drivers in the Hermes vehicles are (allegedly) self-employed, which means that Hermes this way undermines the minimum wages (12€/h from 7.22).
I remember an old man (80+) who delivered for Herpes where I live with his own pessenger car, hardly able to walk earning just 5€/h in average from Hermes. When I heard that I never ordered from Otto (Hermes' mother) again.

Unlike in other countries, many consumers here do not accept it when an employer treats its employees badly. That's why we don't use Herpes as a shipper.

This is somehow typical German: everything must be of the highest quality but extremely cheap. In addition, the employer must have a social conscience. Everything of course in connection with price, quality and service sensibility. Not an easy terrain for retailers.
The best example is Walmart, which tried to gain a foothold in Germany about 25 years ago. They didn't reckon with the complicated mentality of the Germans when shopping and tried to implement their American model here. By 2007, the fun was over and the loss was nearly a billion $863,000,000.

Are you Crazy? GET TF away from PostBank, it´s probably as bad as Paypal
At least you get Proper W.W. online Services with paypal.

Just use ebay like you would @home and if you send!:

    Hermes
Depending on Package size Probably the Cheapest But also the Slowest
.Could take a few days min.
.Send and Pickup in Local "Hermes" shop Possible
Bomus Come around a 2nd time next day

    DHL
Works quite quickly 1-2 Days cost are a little higher.
    Biggest Bonus:
.Deliver to you Local Post office if you are not around and no Neighbour is Trusted/Around
Send and Pickup in Local "DHL" shop Possible

the rest are expensive or more hassle, like missing local shops or "drop boxes"

Just watch out for rating and how old those accounts you are dealing with are(ebay)

if you are nice those delivery drivers that drop something off at your house
They will probably take your FULLY ready package of your hands, and spare you the walk to a shop ;)

    What's wrong with PostBank?

That's funny because I have quite the opposite experience. They always leave the package either by the neighbour or in front of my doors when I'm not at home. Even worse, it happened a number of times when they didn't even ring or phone me while I was at home waiting for the package. I was shocked initially but my relatives said it was normal because they're doing it all the time.
