It's funny how people who are into the pyramid scheme claim it's everyone else that is mad and not "up with the times" or "negative" - no it's a load of bollocks. I fully understand exactly how the blockchain works (and thanks for contributing to the insane CO2 it generates by the way in your quest to make money for yourself).

Verified ownership of digital items on a blockchain is as good idea - though not so much for people who want to use the sister site, wait until they have blockchain backed software ownership checks.

NFT's on the other hand are not revolutionary, they don't give the artist anymore power than if they just sold their album on Bandcamp - except you might be able to tap into the market of anonymous drug dealers who've got bitcoin to clean from the dark web.

Selling a logo to a digital marketing agency for £100k is not "good for the music industry and fantastic for fans" - the whole thing is absolutely moot for fans, it has no bearing what so ever.

The only people who think it's an opportunity for them are the naive and the stupid. If you aren't already established no one is going to magically buy your NFT anymore than they'd magically buy your album on Bandcamp or stream your stuff on Spotify. 100% of nothing is still nothing. These appear to be the same people who could easily be convinced pyramid selling is going to work for them, or that they can make it doing day trading. I've met a lot of these people.

Anyway good luck, if you can cash in on the short term of this weird craze do it, people will - until then we'll look for the actual future of the music industry. IMO Twitch is a far better and sustainable direction to go for artists and better for fans.

    Thanks for this thread.
I was searching for a NFT-thread some days ago and now it's here

What do you think of those 'market'-places? Well, not all for music, but art.
I've read about those sites, but didn't check them out yet myself.. too busy with other things.

    http://www.artnet.com
    https://makersplace.com (made an account)
    https://rarible.com
    https://niftygateway.com/

Btw. it says: 'This room has already ended'. Will it open again? (I have not joined clubhouse yet)

I watched a video about this and I was like WTF? the whole video.
So the only useful thing (I think) I understood is the following. You can create a safe ID (token or whatever) for digital stuff that proves you're the owner.
So I can see useful uses for this but it really was an small part of a sea of crazy things I really don't get. Like, at all.

Once you put a track in you just know it's going to be a hit and you'll end up buying some houses and stuff.

you can put some special stuff like a live at budokan with a gif.

Thx! I'm selling it through https://rarible.com/ I've been on the NFT wave for a while and saw what it could do for our industry.

Immerse yourself into this space and vibe it out. Just like music producing you have to figure out what it's all about and find your lane within the community.

To me it's not about the money it's all about the cool and creative ways we can release our art! The more i understand it the more i am into the creative side, not the money side.

I think that's sick. Not in the positive, UK-street way of that word though.
What a strange thing to have thought back then.
    Oh dear.
    Well said.
    Bollocks.
How dare you compare "music producing" with this plastic world, Babylon journey of yours?
    Not.
But you are doing the opposite.
It's funny you haven't worked out that those who are older and with more experience haven't learnt at least something in life, and are not "hating"...
And so hilariously funny that you can't see you will be squashing "culture" and denying creativity in the long run...
NOT! Both of these things are not funny and are disturbing as hell.
There is no such thing. This is your perception, and I already know you like to carry the supposed burden around with you everywhere you go, and project it on people who you don't like because they have a different point of view to you. And strangely, they are all older and know more than you! hehe. I wonder how you managed to learn anything at school from the teachers who I imagine were older than you.
The strangest bs thing to say and project on others ever!
No, we know the future of music, creativity, creation...
    It is US.
It isn't your plastic Christmas decorations, brother. Or any industry.
Good luck to truly waking up to the real...

Anytime your type imposes your projections on us, I will always impose ours and the truth back to you.
IE If you must make these sweeping generalisations and impose them on others and socially divide, then I must point out your errors.
I was on this planet before you and I like the place, so I have an interest in what goes on.

You feel this do you?.. wow. I have never heard such valid financial forecasting. just wow

Just like this fact: I wouldn't take driving lessons from a teenage girl.

Just like, i wouldn't take mortgage advice from a toddler

Just like, i wouldn't ask my dog what the square root of 44 is.

    get me?!?!?!?!

    Sorry you're feeling bad...
if you you don't like the story....don't continue.
    Do you sell your music?
    How?
Now many members have an insight as to what kind of person you may be.
I've received warnings for less. I may make a lot of off comment jokes that might even go political, but you've disturbed me with your mean and senseless violence.

    violence
    /ˈvʌɪəl(ə)ns/

      'violence erupted in protest marches'
synonyms: brutality, brute force, roughness, ferocity, fierceness, savagery, cruelty, sadism, barbarity, barbarousness, brutishness, murderousness, bloodthirstiness, ruthlessness, inhumanity, heartlessness, pitilessness, mercilessness, strong-arm tactics, ferity, forcefulness, force, full force, power, powerfulness, strength, might, destructiveness
    2. strength of emotion or of a destructive natural force.
'I was surprised at the violence of my feelings'
synonyms: intensity, severity, strength, force, great force, vehemence, powerfulness, power, potency, ferocity, forcefulness, wildness, frenziedness, fury, storminess, tempestuousness, turbulence, lack of control, lack of restraint, passionateness, fervency, ardency
    Just saying.
So you can only really be talking of the power of his inner feelings, which we don't truly know.

    I love the dictionary.
So many words are used improperly.
I didn't want to pay the penalty for using any bad words...
let's just say I didn't appreciate the aggressive stance.
