I am downsizing my studio and have no room for the luxurious Access Virus. I am going from hardware to a more software based studio. There is nothing wrong with this unit and has always been taken care of. It is updated with the most current OS. I am including over $1000 of presets that I have acquired over the years. Will also include a pair of 1/4" TRS cables. Also includes a very nice custom cover. They are actually sold on ebay you can check it out, was made in Bulgaria, but I have these covers for all my equipment and they are best ones I have found.

Yea it's extremely nice and elegant. I don't think i'll regret selling it but I just don't use it in my productions like it's mean to.Nor do I do any live gigging. I know there are elitists that prefer hardware over software, but in my opinion the software is getting so advanced and it's so much easier for me, workflow wise, to add a vst in, rather than recording audio in. The total integration is cool but the way it needs to be implemented works against my workflow. I am offering a good deal for everything included. It also comes with a custom ATA case, which is good for those that like to gig.

 

you know the virus TI can do audio over usb aswell ? you should just be able to load it like any other virtual instrument, although using the TRS outs its neccessary if you are experiencing latency issues over usb. Im just saying I would re-consider selling this synth if the only reason is because you find recording audio through the TRS outs is a pain, its like that for every hardware synth basically & its a good thing to keep upto date on with regular experience so whenever you get the privilege of using a bigger & better studio you can rape all the synths to your hearts content.

 

yes I know that audio over USB is a possibility. Thing is I mainly use Maschine and in order for me to effectively use it I have to load the TI VST, play in a sound then bounce it due to the fact that more than one instance cannot be used. It's just extremely difficult to use in my workflow but that's just me.

 

If you want to use more then 1 instance of the TI , you HAVE to use the "freeze" function in your DAW unfortunately. One thing to note is that your DAW must freeze tracks "in real time" otherwise you will get artifacted exports, also need real time export enabled when exporting aswell but I guess you already know that.

Apparently you can only load as many instances of the Virus in relation to how many hardware engines you own, meaning if you wanted multiple virus tracks available at once you would need to own multiple desktop modules or keyboard modules.

So freeze the tracks you do not want to edit at the immediate moment, then go back whenever you want & freeze/unfreeze the next track you wish to edit.

If you really hate hardware that much then ok sell it, but trust me the Virus is worth keeping for its beautiful sound ;).
