Hi guys, I've been having some problems trying to get waves to work with Pro Tools, tried everything I've found on this forum relating to fixing it. But, I've seem to have no luck and think I'm just going to give up!

So, I'm wondering if any of you guys know any free alternative plugins that are pretty similar to any waves ones?

    Thanks!

have u tried bluecat patchwork and just using that as a bridge for the vst waves plugins to use in protools? im doing that right now

ive also tried R2R's keygen to license the aax waves plugins but for some reason taht doesnt owrk, other aax plugins ive used keygens for worked flawlessly, not sure if the license generator is broken

I have this version working in PT 10.3.9 without any problem.

Which version of PT you are using? But whichever it is, make sure you put the WaveShells in correct folder.

I have the newest release (v9.29?) and it's working flawlessly on PT 10.3.9 and Digital Performer 8.0.7. I'm on OSX Lion 10.7.5. I can't remember if the option exists to install RTAS or AAX -- I assume it's gotta be AAX only -- but if you can install RTAS, try that instead.

Turn off your Antivirus. Waves plugins load a little funny so AV'S don't like it. As for free aulteratives try the melda production MFreeEffectsBundle. Hope this helps

I agree! The Melda Productions' MTotal Bundle is a decent alternative to Waves (plus, their new soft synth is pretty great). Their compressors/dynamics are especially good, and definitely a lot more useful than Waves' stuff.
