    originally, i wanted to dedicate this topic to movies only, but i think it should be more global.

    there's not many great films about musicians or music, but first place in my chart would definitely go to the Legend of 1900, with Ennio Morricone's music:

    this great movie literally gives me inspiration each time i watch it.

    Ray is another nice movie, with music written by my favorite composer Craig Armstrong:

    as for the concerts... I've never seen a live concert that could stand even a bit close to what Jamiroquai did in his Live in Verona:

    his energy in this show totally blows my mind.

    PNYC: Portishead - Roseland New York is another great performance, not only because i admire Portishead and love real Trip-Hop, but also because nobody did it with Symphonic Orchestra on that level.

    I think ive watched The Beatles Anthology about 14.5 Trillion times... never fails to inspire me.

    Also anything Ableton or Reason related by Groove3, Sonic Academy, MacProVideo etc.

    Well, for me the inspiration is life itself. It continues to amaze me every single day ;)
    Even negative events can be inspiring as you are challenged to overcome the problems.

    However, some things maybe more inspiring than others. I didn't really watch too many musical videos (actually I specifically watched only one - Sex Pistols live in Winterland. Usually my creativity draws on fusion of words, sounds and images which had affected me in one way or another.

    And of course pop-culture is very inspirational although in its own way ;)

    To be inspired, I only need one thing.
    My wife..... I just look deep into her eyes, watch her smile.....
    It's all I need (And some beer....) to make me inspired.
    I also like to walk in the street and listen the sounds around me.
    Sometimes you get surprised with sounds that are around you.....

    But on my side, it's exactly the opposite : I need to live sad moments for being creative (like to remember my lost loves or deceased friends) :(

    I dont really look for inspiration as its there from when i play but on the odd time when i have had a deadline and not in the mood i find my inspiration in red wine.vodka and maybe just a few good tunes to litsn to before i start.. :bleh: *yes*
