seagate ST2000LM015 with battery?

    hi,
    i`ve been looking at a 2tb hd at amazon, seagate ST2000LM015, and someone in the comments mentions it needs a battery to operate. can that be for real? i read through the data sheet, no battery mentioned there.
    any ideas?

    No battery required for certain, but you can backup the system with UPS for extra protection.

    I had to attach a car battery to mine to get it to get it to work, makes carrying the laptop around a bit difficult.
