I miss Michael Brecker. Saw him with Brecker Bros., Herbie Hancock, and Paul Simon. 4.25 is the 1st solo. Stan Getz had the coolest tone I ever heard. Huge fan of John Coltrane and Charlie Parker.

Love Clown Core. Just discovered them a few days ago. That guy is OK, but he's more about style and attitude than great technique. But those guys are a hoot.

Thanks for the up on Clown Core - i'd never heard of them until now. Having just watched about 8 of their vids (which only took about 15 mins), it's all obviously a bit college-nerd clever/crazy and every track is essentially a variation on an identical joke... but they are undeniably very watchable all the same.

Igorrr take more risks, are far more creatively diverse, and imho are on another level altogether.

Another Steely Dan sax solo here. Phil Woods on "Doctor Wu" from Katie Lied in 1975. Great solo that at the end just flows like butter back into the song. It starts @ 1:30
