Save Absynth 6 Library on external drive?

    Hi there,

    installing Absynth6 and i noticed the whole library goes on the C-drive? Thank you NI ...

    Any ideas on how to put this on a different location. I hate it when people do not think ... and give flexibility to where to put Library files. its 2.6GB.

    Maybe a symbolic link or something?

    symlinks are almost always the best option for user content like samples, presets, etc.

    example: mklink /D "C:\Program Files\Native Instruments\Absynth 6\Sounds" "E:\Absynth Sounds"

    Whenever possible I offload content to external SSDs this way. Keeps the C drive lean and mean.

    I always transfer large libraries to another drive.There is a wonderful LinkShellExtension program-I recommend it.

    Same here. Link Shell Extension makes it so much easier and faster to create symlinks/hardlinks.

    use regedit
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Native Instruments\Absynth 6
    ContentDir + json file (delete or edit) to take the change.
    as all last NI stuff
