    It will only work on Samsung SSD's, so NOT on other brands!

    What is it good for? I have a Samsung SSD as my main drive and I only got a few megabytes left. Will it help to gain disk space?

    It will copy from a non Samsung brand onto your new Samsung SSD, but not the other way around. There is software that copies all SSDs but I forgot it's name.

    Magician is only for maintaining and updating firmware of your drive. If you want to clone your existing drive to another "Samsung" drive you can use the 'Data Migration" tool. https://semiconductor.samsung.com/consumer-storage/support/tools/

    Some free generic tools that you can use to clone to other SSD's are "EaseUS Partition Master Free" or "DiskGenius (Free Edition)" or "AOMEI Partition Assistant Standard".

    Is it an early April Fool thread???
    What's the point of this?
    Samsung SSDs have always been marketed with these free tools (Data Migration Tool and Magician), and only for Windows.
    It does not serve for other brands.

    @BEAT16
    What was your question, doubt about this software?

    You should not fill up your entire SSD capacity because SSDs function different from HDD that you could let be almost full (except if it was the system drive that needed space for virtual memory allocation of Windows).
    SSDs can slow down dramatically if you occupy most storage space. It's recommended to leave half size empty or at least 2/3.
