Hello.

I have some cracked samples that are missing the .ncint file. Like this one:

When I added it to KONTAKT it obviously says "No library found"

I read somewhere that you can create a .ncint file for it. Can someone please help me with a reference for that in macOS?

I use KONTAKT 5.6.0 to add libraries
KONTAKT 6.0 for actual use
Logic Pro X

The .nicnt file is only for if you want it to show up in the Library Tab. This isn't important.

It is just an instrument, which is why it says "No Library Found"!
It's nothing to do with the lack of .nicnt.
Add it to Quick Load and then open it.
In fact, you could just click on the .nki, really!

Btw, there is no such thing as "cracked samples"! Only cracked Kontakt.

...and to add it to Quick Load, r.click or double click in the black, blank space where the Instrument GUIs would be, to open Quick Load.
Then click on Files, above your Library Browser on the left of Kontakt and navigate to the folder that has the folder that shows all of what is showing in your imgur pic. eg. Kontakt Libraries
That whole folder that holds that Data folder, the .nki, and the Samples folder, needs to be dragged from the LOWER navigation window, not the one above, and dragged into Quick Load.
Then you will have it to hand.
If it prompts you for where the samples are, direct it to the folder.

It was good timing; I just happened to see it when you posted it.
That's made me happy too!

Also, if you've ever added an actual library but it doesn't show up in the Library Tab of 5.6.0 or 6.0, it's because the .xml that it added to Service Centre will say an SNPID # of <000> when opened with Text Editor; in which case we have to open the .nicnt with Text Editor and check what the SNPID is, and then add it to the .xml
You probably know that one already, but that one still sometimes gets me!

Batch resave, if it says missing files locate the files and you will never get a missing folder again of course if you are indeed truly missing a folder or the nki file is currupt

 

@signalflow If u read the thread, you'll see that this is not relevant.
Plus, in your case all you need to do, especially if u want to use the lib in older Kontakt versions too, is just point Kontakt to the relevant folder!
Batch resaving is only useful for speed of loading, imo. But not always advisable, not just for the reason I've mentioned.

I've actually batch resaved on folders not in tabs and it corrected the directory. Not sure why you are saying this isn't a way to fix missing folders. I've done this on both Kontakt 5 and 6 and works the same. The faster loading is an added bonus. That's my 2 cents.

It happened to me on a 909 thread. I confused the TR 909 with the MC 909. It happens to all of us.
