I've been looking for a sampler vst for a while. I use Fl Studio more than 4 years and I started to sample in Fruty Slicer then I moved to Slicex and used it for 1 year. It was fine I'm not gonna say it was perfect but I made some good beats. Now I select the parts I want to sample in Edison, drop them in the playlist and fit to the tempo then I chop them up. I made my best beats using that technique but now I want to sample using vst ( Slicer, Slicex ), I've already tried sampling with Kontakt but it seems to complicated to me. Any vst to share with me.
    Thanks

+ 1 on geist. that's the best out there at the mo' imho. spark is also cool. battery i still use now and again for some quite interesting play back modes, really good for doing warped and f**k'd up beats.
however, if money is tight you may want to look at Poise, a great vst plugin, very basic but very quick and it slices loops on load of you select that option. like i say, simple, but quick. i think you can layer 8 samples per pad... has some basic effects on output.. i use it on everything these days.
i still use slicex also, are you aware you can get it as a VST plugin? i use it in my main daw all the time..
to be honest though, most of my beats are just cut and paste these days. i actually find slicing and editing to be very therapeutic : )

    save up for Maschine...

if your into chopping up samples and making some nice boom bap you will get maschine in the end...its just a matter of time!

after using an MPC for years then getting into software i never could get the same vibes...

Gheist, Slicex, Poise etc are just temporary measures...

Get Maschine if you make Hip Hop...simple as that.

I was thinking to buy Maschine or MPC for chopping the samples, program my drums but I think that I will get midi keyboard beacuse after I chop the sample I want to give more live instrumentation to my beats so it would be much easier to play some chords
