hello guys i have win 7 64bits and i installed the vr release of s-gear 2.60 and when i open the app it's not activated (i also tried the horsemen fix) i've tried many things and nothing seems to work can you help guys?

 

Make sure your DAW is run as an Administrator and firewalled.

 

not only my daw is firewalled, the standalone too, and it doesn't work

 

Or simply buy it. Mike Scuffham is a very helpful and hardworking guy. Please support him if you can.

 

Both releases, original and fixed, confirmed as not working here. No audio options screen on first load as it goes straight to licence page.
Off line music pc Win7 x64 and web enabled virgin install on Win7 x86 machine. Both as admin - Same problem.

Until it works for all, use previous version.

hi . all working ok. over here.
windows 8 - 64 bits.
studio one 3, reapper, fl studio, and samplitude.

Uninstall previous version from control panel.
and install the (first) version :
Scuffham Amps S-GEAR v2.6.0 CE-V.R

and woks. no i dont try de FIXED version, i dont needid.

now when i install, A message appeared in Russian, to choose between 2 options.
As I do not speak Russian, I chose the first.
after the first open (missing license) The second time I opened it and everything works.
All this as administrator, and blocking with firewall from the beginning of the installation. Unchecking the message that says this file came from another computer.

I guess you already tried uninstalling everything?
And tried again.

 

Weird, works here just fine. Windows 10/x64.
Of course, purchase and support the developer.

I never needed the horsemen fix either.
If all else fails bridge the 32-bit .dll to 64 with jBridge.

someone seems to have the hand of good fortune upon them... I'll try it out on Win 8.1 and report back

2.5 is still being offered on the S-gear site for download.. as if there might be some issues with 2.6.
Not sure how to read the tea leaves on that... maybe @johnyrebb has an idea...

Loads fine and there's no activation message. It's worked without noise or time-bombing.

I haven't touched the stand-alone as I only use it inside DAW.

 

i've tried our solutions, nothing happened

 

Pretty easy to fix

uninstall from control panel and then go

Delete c programfiles scuffham dir
Delete c programfiles86 scuffham dir
Delete c programdata scuffham dir

MAKE SURE YOU DONT HAVE THE DLL FILES HIDING IN ANOTHER DIR THAT IS BEING SCANNED

reinstall the fixed version


You must get rid of the residual files and have a clean install (IF HAVING THE ISSUE)

I'm going to bet that YOUR license error does not have v 2.60 up in the corner Its probably an old version

For Me I'm just happy as hell they fixed the 2 instance error.

@Pinkman confirmed daw version is ok for 2.6 unfixed ..
but launching standalone gives unlicensed error... go figure

 

Supposedly that happens at initial launch. From there you can set your audio settings then close and at next launch it should work.
I just tried launching the stand-alone again for the first time after install and it's still working.

Make sure you firewall the S-Gear2.exe OUTBOUND connection in both Program Files (x86) and Program Files.

@pelao thought you said the fixed version was giving you the issue as well.. but if you happy , I happy too ..

@Pinkman something about "Vintage Basketweave" doesn't sound very ballsy.. like amplified kumbaya...?

I could be completely wrong tho...

 

There's a second 'fixed' release up at AZ.
Haven't tried it personally, but @pelao says it works now. The new bit in the text states...

No, I just went to select the a random preset, mouse right of 0-99 and ended up in Heaven. You're so right. Kumbaya, with delay.
