Logic to me hands down because RX doesn't get the drums correctly and they always sound weird. Logic nails the drums , I have heard Serato has the best stem separation but I am not sure but I do know the AKAI version that comes with the MPC keyboard is coming to desktops soon.

Does UVR5 work better than the rest at this time, in your opinion?

yes, i get better / cleaner results with UVR5 than with rip'n'mix or rx or whatnot.

i haven't done much instruments seperations, yet. can't say how good they are compared to other products.

I have been using serato stems & i find the 4 stem separation a little limited. top lines getting blended in with other instruments isn't the most useful tool. but each stem does sound pretty good, sometimes there are little artifacts especially on the drums. overall i give it like a B+ it sounds like UVR5 is better from these comments

What about spectralayers? Had a test at a friend's and was impressed but had no chance of trying any of those mentioned here. How does it compare?

Is there a clear simple way to get going with UVR5 and add-ons for Mac? The site still confuses me.

RX11 uses kinda downgraded Demucs models (because RX11 doesn't use GPU)

The best models available are on x-minus.pro, mvsep.com (both freemium, cloud processing) and UVR5 (100%free, local processing).
x-minus and mvsep are some of the model trainers/providers for UVR too, even if they have also some exclusive ones.

Hey guys, interesting discussion, I would love to know if there is already an AI that extracts drum elements (Kick, Clap, Hi-Hats...) with dignity. Does anyone have a recommendation?

Drum Replacement Software like SD3 or XLN Trigger or Steven Slate will be better for that than AI. There might be some paid ones if you bother.

RIPx is giving good results so far for me. The only downside i found in RIpx is the midi data is not accurate though.

RipX can produce excellent results, depending on the base material used ....

Interesting! Combining RipX with Ableton Live's "Convert Drums to MIDI" function might be the perfect solution, then.
