Hello, I am mastering records using logic pro and often use RX to take out random clicks in the material. I have Rx integrated with logic so i can just press Shift+W and open an audio region in RX (a convenient shortcut that i would recommend setting up.

today i encountered a strange glitch i’ve never seen before. I loaded the unmastered version of a mix into rx after discovering some mouth noises. Got rid of them, fine. When I “overwrite existing file” (which i only do when i’ve made an extremely small objective change like removing a digital click), the new file is wayyyy louder. Has anyone seen this or found a fix???? I found a thread where someone fixed it on ableton — had something to do w consolidation settings. I need some expert insight ! Nothing under preferences that says anything about normalizing automatically.
