Russia will be disconnected from worldwide Internet. Thoughts?

    Here is an interesting response from a colleague, an important Russian software maker (I sent him the Forbes article that started all this):

    I do not think Russia will be disconnected from Internet, the purpose of the law is to assure domestic Internet functionality in case USA issues Internet laws against Russia. We already have firewall-like blocking implemented throughout the country, this does not interfere much with businesses, this caused problem only to websites of political opposition.... Opposition like Navalny is not blocked, only ultra-negative opposition is usually blocked.
