can anyone explain me what they gain by doing this?

 

So the artistic work makes sense again, finally you no longer produce for the garbage can. It's nice when your own work is appreciated by playing it. 1000 songs and millions of videos are uploaded every day and the number keeps growing. The internet is filling up. If you offer things for free, there is a greater chance of being noticed at all.

 

This is theoretically...but practically, the things are different (about looperman.com)

 

i rather ask myself why people do not share what they do.

isn´t it antisocial to provide services only when beeing paid for it?

The thing about looperman's loops is that they are royalty free meaning anyone can use them without paying anything to the original creator of the loop (for acapella's its a different thing). That's great for the producers who don't have inspiration or are looking for something that's missing - this can range from a day 1 noob and go all the way to a multi millionaire producer etc.

The original creator can be rewarded in exposure. That's it, but that exposure can lead to paid work later when people reach out for custom loops etc., anything in that regard. But again from the loops themselves uploaded you don't get paid even if that looped has been used in a hit song with millions of plays (uploaders know this, the ones that don't either don't read or they don't realize it until later - which again they can't do nothing).

For acapellas tho it's a different story, some are royalty free, some are paid etc.

Well I didn't said anything about money cuz you don't get paid for loops. Exposure is not money, which is what I said before tho it could lead to it somewhere in the future.

I've uploaded there some guitar loops several years ago...they've been downloaded, but nobody even said "thanks" till now...
