Ok, thanks for your feedback. :) I will think again about the thread organization, if the content is complete.

monitoring eq does not solve room acoustics problems. if you sit in a 0 pressure zone, you can raise the affected frequency as much as you want, but your room still does not allow you to perceive that frequency.

You did an amazing job and save a lot of time for everyone. :beg:

Your thread deserves a place apart on the first page of Audiosex because it is the basis of everything related to Audio.

Nah, it's outstanding and a class of it's own. Plain facts.
And it is really essential knowledge for Music making.

I definitely would like a special part of AS to be reserved for the real basics.
Moderated (by the threadstarter would be the best if that could be implemented).
No chit-chat, no why-is-the-banana-bent-questions, no escalating discussions.
There are a few really good articles on AS but most ended with never ending discussions.

Saint and me were already consulted by OP about this, and we agreed to pin this thread in Studio section to which it belongs.
That's the most logical thing to do. Any one who needs info about treating a room will search in studio section.

If you write room treatment in Audiosex search box, the first thing you see in the result are these threads.

So it's already on the first page for this topic.

The most interesting thread of all.
Nothing beats a good recording & listening/mixing room like a well treatment.
    I'll keep on focus.

    P.S. REW it's a must have software!!!

    Well... Both are good.
Unfortunately, I don't have the time to go into this complex topic at the moment.
I will return to this thread when I have a little more free time.

Why aren't there any room modeling software with ability to emulate absorption effects? So we could f.e. make a room, simulate the sound with all interference and standing waves and see how absorbtion changes it? Why we have only this, not advanced software: upload_2023-10-18_16-31-55.png
