These work perfectly for me in Cubase 12....well, almost. I'm a visual person and have all my plugins' thumbnails in my Cubase windows. However, when loading the VST3 versions of all of the Roland Cloud plugins and SRX modules, the Cubase icons in the top right are missing, including the camera icon to capture the plugin thumbnail.

Not sure if this is an issue with the Roland plugins or Cubase, but it only happens to the Roland ones and all others are fine.

Anyone else have this issue?

 

I have experienced this issue and found there is no immediate solution, however there is a workaround. If you right click within the grey region in the top of the plugin window, you can change the view to generic editor. From there you can take a screenshot, which will save a file with a corresponding number in the thumbnails folder (found in file path Documents/Steinberg/VST Thumbnails).

Next you need to take a screenshot of the plugin and crop it, before renaming it with the same file name as the one you just created. Then just replace the image in VST Thumbnails folder with you new cropped image and voila. Refresh and you should see your roland and/or whatever other missing plugin images you may have.

Device Setup/VST Audio System/Advanced Options] there is a box that says “Activate Steinberg Audio Power Scheme

Reset
Close and open cubase

 

It doesnt fix the "missing camera" problem nor the image missing problem ...

Audio power scheme has nothing to do with thumbnailing capacities of the VST intruments.

 

This works and I don't mind a few minutes for eye pleasure. Thanks.

 

Yeah, I may eventually get to this point, but too busy reinstalling everything else on my system at the moment having done a recent fresh install to spruce up my machine

Weirdly though, I found that Concerto, JD-800 and Zenology all have the camera thumbnail as normally epected and it's just everything else missing it?!

 

got it for the roland ones very strange but works ! load 1st vst 64 bit on one chaneel then load same vsti of vst 3 on another then switch beetween the 2 channels opening edit instrumment in cubase channel a few times the camera pops up !
