Decided to spend some more money on gear and i have a 500$ limit, im thinking investing in a Tr-8, convince me otherwise? lol

 

buy an ipad instead and get a 808 app ;)

 

I tried TR-8; it's very good. If you can wait for more cash to come in, and you're in EU, you should get a 2nd hand Jomox 888 , it'll be a little more expensive, but it's MUCH closer to an actual TR808, much less toy-ish.

 

i have a tr 08 and i have to say I fucking hate it. The midi is shit and roland didn't fix it in the update. It doesn't sound any better than ANY sampler with 909 sounds , and if you use it with a daw you get midi going all over the place. I will admit its' kinda fun for live use and messing around but using it with a daw is crap . Roland tech support doesn't seem to have anyone that has ever used a current sequencer. The working isn't practical. I wanted to sell mine back to GC funny enough its only worth about 200 used. Save yourself a headache .
