Hallo, I have recently bought a Roland MC-101.
On the sister site there are the SDZ Sound Packs available.
But installing them on the device, they seem to need a license.
Could anybody enlighten me how I get them working for these sounds on the device, please?

    That would be awesome!!

    Thank youuuuz!!

I don't know about the expansion packs on the sister site but for packs from the Roland Cloud one user said:
"Finally I read some more forum messages which suggested I need to register my Hardware, so I followed the links and used my Serial number.
    This worked"

I think they have to be the hardware ones, is there a way to convert the pack already available ?

Yes, unfortunately they are copy protected.
You can only use expansions that you bought in the RolandCloud and they are linked to your device serial number. In 2020 an expansion cost 0.99 ;- a fair price for about 10-15 presets .. then they wanted 9.99 ;- .. and now only via monthly contribution or you take the first 100 packets together as a bundle for 250; -

But: you can open the extensions in the Roland ZENOLOGY VST, save presets and open them on the device without any problems.
Find a preset package and save the few presets.. usually nothing special.. that's how I do it with the MC707
