    Martin Lüders released the Beta of his Roland JX-8P-Emulation named PG8X in his Dropbox account. Its completely written in C++ and not as earlier versions made with Synthedit.

    Looks great. I owned a Roland JX-8P in the past so i wonder how this VST will compare to the original.

    No it isn't, the Mac VST works just fine. It's great, actually!

    AU format is not available at this time, but I assume he plans to get the AU version working afterwards.

    In any case, you can use the Mac VST version for now in an AU host such as BlueCat Patchwork to use, eg inside Logic.

    PG-8X is great project.
    I've been following it's forum on KVR.

    Didn't know it was based on SynthEDIT !

    EDIT: (from, KVR)
    Framework (GUI) in SynthEdit.
    Sound generation (DCOs and VCF) entirely in custom modules.
    C++/Assembler.

    That's the orignal version. The current version is fully C++ and based on the iPlug framework - nothing to do with SynthEdit - which is also why there is a Mac version....
