Do you have plans to make TC Powercore PCI MKII Emulator in the future to run software as native?
Hardware runs at 4 DSP Chips.
It is not a bad idea, there are 14 vst plugins and some plugins like for example "Tubifex" doesn't have native equivalent.

this makes me also very happy because i can´t stand the Sound of this cold modern VSTs anymore.
We need our 90s era back. We need back our warm sounds in the electronic music scene.

Don´t get me wrong guys. I´m happy that everybody can make Music with FL & co. but, it hurts my ears.

I also get a bit deeper now. You guys preserve and archive a very important era of sound and frequencies.
The Hardware will not survive forever, and you give us the chance to keep that sound alive.

I will go now, and make a Donation. Not to pay for the new emulation.
I just to try to give something back but i feel this is absolutly not enough.

Ja like i said, im speechless and happy and you made my day and you made me happy and bring me back in gold old times, listening to Trance Music when i was a young boy.

If I had two nickels for every time a JP8000 plugin that was hundreds of megabytes appeared this year I’d have two nickels, which it’s weird it happened twice… GRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!! THIS GONNA TAKE AGES TO COME OUT NEED THOSE 8080 UPGRADES GRRRRRRRR hopefully it won’t be October 24th or later that it officially becomes available or at least for testing like the last one was April 24th…

A new era thanks to The Usual Suspects. Thanks @Ayahuasca And to the whole team, while I watched the end of the video and how they treated the Roland chip, I smiled and remembered that a few weeks ago I had asked Bax to emulate the JP, so I could die in peace, but now I don't want to die LOL.

 

I skipped them all. Especially the hyped Arturia one. I´m a kid of the 90s Trance and will never forget how it sounds.
I think 70% of the Leads/Synths came from the JP8000. The Rest from Virus.

but the Arturia VST sounds very bad in the Demos already. So i´m more happy i skipped them all.

 

anyone got the firmware binary for JP-8080?
i can find zero firmware versions on the interwebz, except sysex midi files to use with the hardware..

 

Not sure about Arturia's JP8000 emulation but some of their other emulations are spot on. There's plenty of comparison videos online to prove this. I personally sold my Ensoniq SQ-80 after comparing some of my custom patches to the VST and could not distiguish the two. Another example that comes to mind is Charlie Clouser, who designed sounds for Nine Inch Nails and also does a lot of soundtrack work, posted blind comparison clips to Gearslutz of his hardware Prophet VS and Oberheim Xpander with Arturia's Prophet VS and Matrix 12 and nobody in the comments could tell the difference. He's been using those synths since the 80's and knows them inside and out and says they're indistiguishable. So I'm not sure where all this nonsesne comes from that Arturia being bad emulations. There's a few I'd be more skeptical of like the Synthi, Buchla Easel but many are great.

 

Arturia synths sounds good to me and that´s all that counts, now if only they would do something about the bloated graphics..
