I've recently gotten Roland Groovesynth from SONAR Platinum, it only runs in sonar which sucks, and I've tried converting to a VST and even that doesn't work after multiple methods, how do I convert this program or similar Dxi's to a Soundfont useable in modern DAWs? Does anyone have an idea? any help is appreciated.

1. Go to +++ https://www.xlutop.com/buzz/zip/
2. Download the zip file dxshell_v1.0.5b.zip
3. Extract it.
4. Copy the files dxshell.x64.dll and dxishell.64x.dll to the folder where Ableton Live or your DAW looks for VST plug-ins.
5. Make sure the DAW scans the location of the DX and DXI plug-ins.

To actually sample the DXi you could try SAMPLE ROBOT. It's been around forever, but I never set aside time to ever use it.

I already used dxshell, and it didn't work in other DAWs, unlike something like cakewalk's TTS-1 does. Sample robot can sample VSTs only I think, but it's worth a shot.

 

You can create a midi (e.g.1/1 of Beat at 30 BPM from c-2 to c8 1/1 of beat for each note) to do a sweep of the sounds of the choosen patch in the groovesynth, then freezing the track, then slicing the audio in kontakt!
