First of all: Respect to everybody showing his projects here, asking for critics.

Here are my 2 ct:
The harmony and melody seem to me like an AI product.
I don't see nor feel any red line or structure i could follow.
It sounds like a complete work of nearly random note-chosing to me.
No really wrong notes here, but i could here the song a 100 times without being able to remember the melody.
But maybe it's just me.
Oh, and the vox are too loud.

But the singer/voice sounds pretty good.

 

Hmm, I knew something was off about this song. Just listened again. That's is why I asked only about the singer. Can you guess?

I am a novice too.
In my opinion the singer has a good voice with potential.(I wish I could sing even up to her level). The music is also alright in its own (Still learning production techniques). The track as a whole looks promising.
I feel, with better production techniques & with a little change of tune along with some effects it would become far more better. This track needs only a few modifications to sound professional. But it's surely on the right path

Here is Solaria in a rock song (maybe a little prog) written after a really good psilocybin trip.Not intending to criticize the OP's song but this is what "glue" means in a mix. The vocals are "in" the music.

Thanks very much. I've been working with this vocal synth for a while and I'm finding that the more I know the easier it is to blur the lines between fake and real vocals. I posted this example for the purpose of illustrating that a "fake" vocal is going to sound fake when it isn't sitting "in the mix"....of course this applies to any vocal, but you're really leaving yourself exposed if you haven't built an adequate framework for a synth voice. Hence, I use a lot of acoustic backing.

Man the woman is really talented - she can really sing. Write her some more great songs.

As Spock would say, "fascinating". The vocals do sound just a little... weird. But the tech is now clearly on the right side of the uncanny valley; that is to say it sounds like a slightly odd human singer to me and not a really good artificial singer. Maybe like, say, a Japanese vocalist who has mastered almost too perfect of an American accent. I may really consider her for a project!
What's doing the guitar? It sounds sampled but it goes in the mix well.

 

@BEAT16 and @Trurl I'm not sure if you are directing comments to me and since this is not my thread, I will apologise to @Alfgw for inserting my music into the comments. Trurl, the singer that is sampled here is from the US and I agree, the stiff and awkward transitions from one word to the next, often makes her sound Asian.
@Alfgw having used Solaria for a long time I was only giving you an example that illustrates how a synth voice needs to be encased in the music or, as I have found out the hard way, before anyone even listens to your song, they will have judged it on the performance of the singer.
