Basically I'm just looking for opinions on 2 of my more recent tracks. Life has been rough lately for reasons I won't go into, and while I'm trying to get my mojo back I'd like to see if I can push these songs farther to get me back in there. At this point there both demo idea's so yeah. Tell me what you think.

    Basic info
The Synth Melody is the idea for the vocals, not an attempt to have synth melodies. Both songs are kinda a mix between rock/metal/punk. I'm not really looking for production advice because they're both pretty much just built on a writing template made for instant writing. But other than that anything you'd like to comment on have fun.

Well I've always been a fan of Linkin Park. The original idea when I started writing rock/metal again was a heavier slightly more technical linkin park without rapping but after awhile it just becomes what it is. Basically I'd end up liking it all to be something that surpasses genre limitations. To where those who like heavy can like it without saying it sounds pussy, or people who don't like as heavy can still like etc.

As for synths, it's been so long since I really worked with synths since I got out of hiphop, I've tried but I think I just lack the vision for actual synth writing anymore. Either that or I can never find "that sound" for a synth or just gave up trying to find it. Alot of times I use massive when trying to add it but it's just never "good enough" or something.

for the producer making it more approchable I agree. The problem is I'm a producer for others so when I switch my cap to songwriting it's near impossible to produce for myself and with zero input or help from others I tend to get trapped in my own little world. I actually wish I could find someone that could play the producer roll and take it there.

As for a defined future vision, eh fuck if I know. Basically songs like this come to my head and try to write them out to match as well as I can before I get stuck on a "near" version and the original awesome version in my head fades away.

It kinda sucks because I'm going through a divorce and the band I had lined up to start doing this stuff I had to put on hold not knowing exactly what's going on in my future or I'f I'll end up having to move several hundred miles away etc. WHich at the same time has killed a lot of my inspiration, not to mention my ex wasn't exactly the muse type either which makes it harder.

So I mean yeah in terms of that I'd be happy to hear anything for idea's or what not. I'm sure they would do better with a more orchestrated background in synths or strings or who knows, when trying to find that perfect mix of composed yet raw. And around here I'd love to do collabo's but finding someone who can fit in with it or evolve it in a natural way could be difficult or I've just been too distant to ask or something. I dunno. But yeah if you have any specific idea's or whatever I'm always up to hear it. I'm less of a hardass then I come off usually.

I really like the first track , works well. That bass breakdown towards the end is nice. It's refreshing to just listen to the song writing aspect rather than disecting the production. Good work
