New Predator update!
Unison stereo spread plus new presets.



We now have a new update (v1.6.5) available for Predator!

Before we start working on a bigger 2.0 upgrade of Predator we have added unison
stereo spread to the current version. It makes the unison mode in Predator much
more useful.

We have also added a + and - function for selecting the waveforms in Predator and
added some new presets.

Updating Predator is simple. Just log in to www.robpapen.com and visit 'My products'.

Open the download page below your Predator 1.6 registration, download the installer
and run it on your system. Next time you boot up Predator, the new unison stereo
spread and new presets will appear.

03 Classic synth 05
07 DnB session 02
08 Ambient 02
29 JoMal-bank 3

30 OddIction

Important note for PC users:
The PC installer now installs Predator banks, presets etc in a user selected folder
(defaulting to Documents\Rob Papen). If you have any 3rd party or user created banks,
presets etc you should move them into this new folder, otherwise they won't show up
in the plugin. The older location, for instance, could have been:
--> Steinberg\VSTPlugins\Rob Papen\Predator <--

Do people even use this plugin anymore? Lol not to sound snobbish or anything.

 

I know... I know. Why are we still using Sylenth1? It's snob. Why are we still using
Massive? It's snob. Why some still use rhodes? It's snob. But... but I remember when
Kraftwerk (my personal GODS) were on the road and their snobbish sounds are
still better than the current crap sounds... but we love the sounds snobby. *yes*

 

Predator is still up there with the big boys but for the most part you gotta do your own sound design and not depend on there being 2-3 third party preset banks a day being released for it. This makes some producers shy away from certain synths. I don't get it but its true.

 

There are few amazing third party on it, like Ozcan. This is where you see real ppl really into production, not posing.
