Hello guys, so here I'am goofing off wasting my day because I can't seem to get on
how to synthesize a robotic sound...
I mean sure I could do some cool wobbles and some cool dubstep / glitchhop sound thingy magically.
But what I really want to do that I can't seem to do are those robotic sounds...
The talking ones and also the just robotic ones....
I just don't get it... By the way I'm a Massive user, and also... I've tried to watch those tutorials they have on youtube,
it's always either well explained but not all in all by a signature producer or a video that just tweeks shit without explaining things out...
I'm new with a ton of things, and I really need some more explanations...

Here we go... Main question is...
"How to do that robotic sound" (I know/guess/think the filth is on automating the filters)
"What wave does it commonly use on the oscillator"
"Why that sound?" (Something like "because it sounds like this, then if you tweek it using this, use this to do this blah blah blah...")

*NOTE I'M USING N.I. MASSIVE (Just in case you forgot.)

    another thing...

    "LFO vs Stepper vs Performer"

That would be all in all, will do wait for feedback's thanks.

    ONE LOVE
    GOOD VIBES

you must use some vocoder software instead of Massive

Quick answer: Modulate the cutoff with a high resonance then put a bit crusher ,done. Try different filters, waves. Some wave form in massive produce robotic sounds on their own (for eg, mtalk etc).
Usually waves with more harmonics produce a filthier sound..Btw,you will learn allot more by just playing around and experimenting with massive and tutorials will definitely give you a good place to start.

Most of the times, the sound you're talking about it is made with FM synthesis and lots of resampling and automating EQ/filters.
You can't do it "automagically", even with m-talk

    Robotic sounds
    Massive -> WOW -> Effectrix
Use plenty Phaser and Reverse on Effectrix for that Transformers sound.

    Talking
Massive -> WOW and then key in the midi notes

Use Scrap yard or Deep Throat wave
