Robe Iniesta - December 10, 2025 - Spanish rock singer and composer

The band's name is a reference to the Extremadura region, where they originate. They were founded in the late 1980s, and after recording demos, making TV appearances, and participating in a music competition, they landed a record deal.

Their first official album, Rock Transgresivo, was released in 1989. In the mid-1990s, their label was sold to Warner Music, and their album Agíla brought them their definitive breakthrough in 1996.

It charted and went double platinum. Until 1996, the lineup changed frequently; only singer and guitarist Robe Iniesta remained a constant. With Iñaki Antón and José Ignacio Cantera, and from 2001 onward with Miguel Colino, the lineup that defined Extremoduro throughout the 2000s was finalized.

With their album La ley innata, they reached number one on the Spanish album charts for the first time. The following two studio albums also topped the charts. Singer and guitarist Robe Iniesta, who had suffered for years from the effects of a pulmonary embolism, died on December 10, 2025, at the age of 63.
