    I have just learned with great sadness of the death of our brother Robbie,
    I wanted to extend my condolences to the family, friend and brother of heart.
    Oh RIP Robbie.

    R.I.P. Robbie.
    Such a great bass player. I wrote ones of the most beautiful bass lines in Reggae music.
    His style and music will stay with us forever through what we've learned from him.

    I was seeing a lot of RIPs to Robbie Shakespeare and I didn't realize who he was before it clicked that it was THE Robbie of Sly & Robbie.

    We've lost a legend here, the stuff he did with Black Uhuru is truly wondrous.
