I suspect they succumbed to a faulty heater or some kind of gas leak. So tragic, it even got the dog. :wow:

"Did you ever pump your peter in Poughkeepsie??"

Ok, that might not be quite exactly the quote, but what a great movie.

Trying to decode police and public media vocabulary I am inclined to believe it's a tragic accident as well, since his 32y younger wife (he's 95) and one (of three) dog (who was in the room with them) died, too. Oh man so sad, RIP

images (13).jpeg Best super villain ever.

The strange, very specific casualness with which Hackman delivers this line neatly represents much of what made so much of art as an actor so memorable. If you didn’t know he was pure evil and a total egomaniac, you might think he was just joking around. This is how the magic works: The audience is in on the joke that Lex is funny, but, the story treats him as a dangerous lunatic who could destroy the world, and Superman, too.

Fuck, also his wife. RIP. The guy was a genius.
This movie is something else. As a movie is just okay, it's the rest.
First important role of both Di Caprio and Russell Crowe.
Starred and co-created by the sex-symbol in decline Sharon Stone.
Many things are weird, in a good sense.

So sad... I really hope it was an accident, although, now, for those who are not his family and mourn, there isn't much of a difference!

Gene Hackman, RIP and thank you very much for all the emotions you provided us with

The weird thing is, I've been watching Gene Hackman movies this week. We watched Crimson Tide, Heist, Enemy of the State and French Connection. And I have The Conversation on my drive, which I've never seen.

Man this one hit me pretty hard.
One of my all time favourite actors.
And he really didn't do a huge amount. He was very picky as to what he chose to do.
Every movie I've seen him in were stellar.

Is it normal on this site to create a farewell post to every famous person who passes away?

I hope they loved you as much as you love them.
