I'm not surpriced. Last Future Music magazine I bought was so stuffed with adverts that it made me never want to buy one again.

I read FM almost religiously back in the day, and they did have some good technique columns, but I haven't picked up an issue in years. Good times though, and best of luck to the Future Music people in their future endeavours.

That said, I might consider renewing my digital Sound on Sound sub, thank gods that's still going.

I do have all issues from at least the first 10 years. I guess it was inevitable this would happen. Even SOS which is still around has lost half its size... And FM had become something like 3-4 serious topics and rest was mostly ads, not to mention prohibitively expensive. Sad to see them go but as it was these last years, i cannot see any attraction to both seasoned and noob musicians, especially for the price.
    Cheers

Considering that Future Publishing has gone bigtime into AI generated slop this needs to be upgraded to "AI killed the internet"... or at least journalism.

The internet doesn't last forever either, lots of my bookmarked websites have disappeared, but at least the Way Back machined snagged some of them.

Ahh, the digital dark ages beckon, where most of the stuff has just disappeared... man, am I in a fatalist mood today or what?

Agreed! I felt cheated as a customer. I had the same experience with Computer Music Magazine a Electronic Musician.

A blog site does a better job - uses on paper and can be updated with new information. Music adar and ADSR Sound have been more effective than those paperweights.

I use Microsoft OneNote extension for Edge. It can preserve an article for the rest of earth time.

    From the FM website:
"Tales of our demise have been greatly exaggerated. FutureMusic has been your go to resource for the latest technology news, music production gear reviews and reporting from the front lines of innovation for decades, and we will continue to bring your the very best reporting and reviews for years to come right here on FutureMusic.com."

I think I understand that only the physical printed version will be discontinued. The digital version will continue to operate.

Damn I only just renewed my subscription to CM and FM.

Edit: Ah ok, I see they gave me a refund and a £10 gift card, bless 'em.
